Description
The quality of our FIRST CLASS knives is unique:
These knives are produced in the same way as the classic FIRST CLASS knives. The handles are made exclusively of olivewood from olive trees in Andalusia, Spain. These trees are more than 1.000 years old, and the wood is gained in special limited reforestation programmes under state supervision. The wood has a classical beauty, the structure is compact, very hard and regular. Each piece has its unique pattern. The wood has antiseptic qualities and is long-lasting. A little treatment with linseed or olive oil from time to time helps to preserve the structure and intensive colour.
The blades are drop-forged, the whole knife is made from one solid piece of Carbon-Cromium-Molybdane-Vanadium-steel (X50 CrMoV15 blade steel). After several times heating up to 1.400 degrees Celsius and then ice-hardening, the steel achieves a very fine, compact and homogenous structure. This is the reason for the long-lasting sharpness of the edge and the resistance to corrosion.
You can also make your own individual composition – please ask for details!
You can extend your set with other additional pieces. For each series you can get a list of all the available pieces:
